The most important thing they track is your Intern Development Program (IDP) hours. As an “Intern,” you must log 5,600 hours of supervised time with a licensed architect. Not all hours need to be recorded by a licensed architect, but most hours do. These courses are divided into different categories such as construction documents, design, construction management, design and development. This is to ensure that the student is acquiring skills in all areas so that they are not tied down.
The IDP program helps students develop the skills they need to become construction workers in controlled environments. This equates to about three years of full-time employment. There are about 1,000 rules for when to cut trees. All the processes mentioned above must be completed at some point before the license is issued.
